TALKEETNA, ALASKA

Interesting about Talkeetna is that the only paved road is in the main street.The city entrance is marked with theaudio and visual sign welcoming all the visitors. Population peaked at about 1,000 during the First World War, following the fall of the Alaska Railway. The National Park Service handles numerous expeditions to Denali during the summer and you can watch a small video if you are thinking about scaling the cliff. Riding excursions are also available on trails with magnificent views of Denali.

The Talquette Alaskan Lodge includes 7 buildings: the main lodge, a guest house, accommodation for the employees and a maintenance contractor. It is 2 hours north of Anchorage and 2.5 hours south of Denali National Park. Alaska offers a chance for students to have fun. Some of the activities are hiking to the glacier itself, zipplane ride, etc. Employees have 30% discount in restaurants and food and beverage stores within the company. Bonus for employees will be available at the end of the season, and there is an optionof a transfer to the city where they are offered the chance to find an additional job.
